Online fashion retailer Etsy is tapping into purposeful and seasonal advertising campaign that promotes people to “give more than a gift.” We recently discussed the season of giving and how your marketing campaign can revolve around giving in our Thanksgiving Marketing Ideas. From November to December, the atmosphere is all about giving, and apart of that revolves buying gifts for others.
Etsy captures the power of the gift with their 30 TV spots “give more than a gift”. The idea being to promote purposeful buying that highlights creative projects, designs, and ideas that only their creators can solve.
In one 30-second TV spot, a friend buys her friend that’s alone on Christmas a gift that reminds her she has a group friends and tradition on her side.
